  4. An Embed Media window will open in front of your edit screen. If you have already uploaded and published the video, see "a" below. Otherwise, follow instructions in "b."

    1. Find the desired video in the list. Click on Embed to add the video onto the announcement and return to editing.

Click the Embed button to embed a video.See Embed Media with Downloadable Player for instructions on how to allow students to download the video.

    2. At the top of the Embed Media window, follow steps 4–11 on the Record a Presentation on Your Computer page. Then, click Back to Browse and Embed. Finally, click on Embed next to the video you just uploaded. (It will take some time for the video to process, depending on the length of the video. To ensure the video is viewable to students as soon as the announcement is posted, create the video from the MyMedia page, then follow the instructions in "a" above.)

  5. The video will appear in the Canvas announcement. Students will have to view the video within the Canvas course—they won't be  able to see it in the message that is forwarded through their prefered notification method—so it is a good idea to add a note with reference to the video.

  6. Select desired announcement options, then click Save.
