Hybrid Face-to-face Teaching Tips
Hybrid face-to-face courses meet synchronously at scheduled class times. Some students meet in person in the classroom (adhering to classroom safety guidelines and social distancing caps) while other students participate remotely via Zoom. In this workshop you will learn how to:
- support learner choice/need of attending either in-person or remotely,
- provide equivalent learning experiences for all students,
- prepare an instructional plan, and
- leverage features of Zoom to help engage students who attend remotely.
Online Teaching Tips
Learn how to set up an online course in Canvas using a Canvas template. This workshop addresses the process of beginning with a course map, importing a Canvas template, and then developing and organizing course materials into modules.
Web Broadcast Teaching Tips
Learn how to plan, begin, and successfully teach a class over Zoom. This workshop focuses less on Zoom functionality and more on teaching strategies for keeping students engaged and minimizing distractions when teaching in real-time, remotely.
Building Interactive Learning Activities with Atomic Assessments
