Send a Message

You can use Canvas to send a message to single person or to your entire course including teachers and other course sections. You can also send a message to a specific group such as all students in the course or all teachers.

To send a message

  1. On the Help Corner, click Inbox.

  2. In your Inbox, click Compose a new message.

  3. In the Course box, select the course.

  4. In the To box, click the Address Book button, and then select the recipient(s) of the message.

  5. In the Subject box, type the subject of the message.
  6. Type the body of the message.
  7. (Optional) select Send Individual message to send the message to each individual in the course, instead of a group message.
  8. Click Send.
